Operation and Sports Injury

Whole-Body Rehabilitation

Whether you're recovering from a sports injury, orthopedic surgery, or dealing with ongoing pain, Movement Therapy helps you return to doing what you love by re-educating the brain-to-body (neurokinetic) patterns that guide movement.

Often, the way your body adapts in the short term — to protect or compensate — can shape how it moves in the long term. By learning to recondition those patterns, you can regain strength, restore function, and support long-term ability.

  • Sessions will assess your movement, creating a body map of how your muscles interplay, which we work from to:

    • Release and reactivate inhibited muscles

    • Reconnect core strength and stability

    • Safely restore joint control and range

    • Rebuild functional strength and mobility

    • Reduce compensation and risk of re-injury

  • You may have Physiotherapy prescribed for the affected joint(s) and this should be completed before starting Movement Therapy.

Many people find after injury their movement feels different or misaligned. The body protects itself, often limiting functionality and creating compensation patterns.

This is when Movement Therapy is designed to assist and accelerate your return to full range and ‘full send’ movement.

  • Movement Therapy blends release and activation as is needed.

Expect hands-on fascia release, cupping therapy and muscle testing combined with strengthening through pilates, reformer, yoga and prop assisted rehab exercises.
