Sport-Specific Training

Conditioning and strength training, specific to both your body and your sport. From competitive sportspeople, to passionate skiers and surfers, these sessions look to take your ability and confidence in your body to the next level.

With focus on the specific strength, mobility and control your sport requires, we look to identify improvements that will optimise your performance - and joy!

  • Generally, a minimum of 3-5 sessions will ensure we can assess, improve, test and challenge the key muscle groups and kinetic chains that are specific to your sport.

    In our initial session we will:

    • Assess key muscle group and kinetic chain functionality, relevant to your sport

    • Assess your core, hip complex, shoulder complex, upper and lower limbs (as relevant to your sport) to identify any imbalances or movement patterning to improve

    • Strengthen the core as a synergist that can assist in all exertion

    • Discuss and asses any other symptoms or issues you are having

    • Make a plan for warm-up exercises to support best use of your body in training

  • Anytime, but great for pre-season or with a goal/race/competition ahead

  • Movement Therapy blends release and activation as is needed.

    Expect hands-on muscle testing, fascia release and cupping therapy combined with strengthening through pilates, reformer, yoga and prop assisted rehab exercises.
